No town round here would be complete without a watch tower! These were usually built during the 15th and 16th centuries, at a time when each town area was a little kingdom of its own...
Not many people around today, as it was a midweek bank holiday, and only two tourist cafes were open. Still, some people like to window-shop when everything is closed, it saves money...
Here's the other river frontage we promised you, this time the River Tauber. If you go forward from here, and turn right at the "Main" river ahead (sorry!), you can just see the red rooves of the other townscape at the beginning of this section...
